About HUBBUS

HUBBUS is a slow, one-woman studio in Copenhagen, creating handcrafted pieces for kids — and their people.

I make each piece myself, from the first idea to the final stitch. I work slowly and intuitively, often letting a material, a colour or a small idea decide where something is going next. Between raising my three children and the everyday rhythm of city life, I make time for the kind of work that feels worth doing by hand.

Materials are a big part of HUBBUS. I have a hard time letting go of things with character — a beautiful vintage textile, an old woven band, a piece of denim, a forgotten bead or something I simply find impossible to leave behind. Rather than starting with a fixed collection of materials, I let these finds become part of what I make. This is why many HUBBUS pieces are one of a kind, or made in very small numbers.

The result is a growing collection of clothes, accessories and objects for everyday life — made from vintage and deadstock textiles, alongside carefully chosen new materials. Some are practical, some playful, and some simply exist because I wanted to see what would happen.

The HUBBUS universe

Alongside the textiles, another part of HUBBUS has slowly grown: HUBBUS Paper.

It began with hand-drawn figures, little stories and observations from family life. Many of the characters are inspired by my own children — their closeness, their immediate joy, their quiet moments and their very big feelings. They have become a small fictional family of their own, carrying pieces of courage, doubt, joy, melancholy and endless curiosity.

The drawings, paintings and textile pieces may look different, but they all come from the same place: a curiosity about materials, everyday life and the things that make us feel something.

HUBBUS is made slowly, a little imperfectly, and with a lot of care.
